Thames Foodbank

Thames Foodbank

Thames Foodbank has been
serving the community
since the early 2000s.

We cant feed the world but,
We can help feed those on our doorstep.
Foodbank provides essential support to individuals and families during times of financial crisis or emergency, ensuring that no one in the community needs to go hungry.
Through its compassionate service, and in conjuntion with the 305 Open Door, the foodbank helps to ease the burden of everyday struggles, offering hope and a sense of security when it’s needed most.

Over the past year food parcel demand has increased significantly. By November, 2024, food parcel requests were double the same 12 month period for the year before. This is mainly due to the cost of living crisis.
During 2023 Foodbank provided enough food via food parcels for 7,400 meals (approx). The 2024 year has seen the numbers increase to 14,000 meals (approx.).

Thank you to all our amazing donors for your generosity and support.

We were able  to cope with this level of demand. However, we expect demand will increase during the 2025 year.
To meet this level of demand, we have put new procedures in place starting 2025, and we will be reaching out to our supporters during the year.
